I miss the not having fluids all over the place, LOL. My stomach was no prize before being pg so not much to mourn there.

This is a great site to make yourself feel better

I always mourn my preg belly alittle after I give birth....and this was my last, so it is really hard this time even though I was so freaking huge.

Well my belly still feels poochy enough that I'm not missing it yet

But I know what you mean. After DD1 was born I remember sitting in the hospital bed mourning my pregnancy while holding my perfect daughter in my arms (and feeling utterly ridiculous about it). This time I'm not feeling that so much and I think it has to do with the fact that the birth experience was so very different and much more natural.

Yes I do. I was laying in bed the other night and went to rub my tummy and realized that "tummy" was in bed beside me instead. It was a sadness for sure because I miss that incredibly intense bond with an in utero child.

i don't really miss my belly (i love the freedom with it gone), but i really miss the movements inside. last night while i was nursing D.D., i suddenly got concerned because i hadn't felt movement. Duh, because the baby is moving on the outside! Momentary lapse of reason.

I don't feel that way too much this time. Last time, I was soo sad that I wasn't pg anymore and I wanted to be pg again really bad. I got pg when dd was 6 months old so I guess it worked out!: Anyway, I am thinking that it would be nice to not be pg for a while. We'll see what I think in a few months!

Me : DD 5/05: DS1 7/06 : DS2 11/07: DS3 3/10

Oops I totally misinterpreted this thread! I thought you meant you missed the belly you had *before* getting pg. Doh!

This was my last pregnancy also. I do miss my belly and it's sad knowing I won't ever feel a babe moving around inside of me again.

:

My pregnancy and birth were just so perfect, they will be wonderful memories of my final pregnancy. I couldn't have asked for it to go better, really. :

With that said....I soooo don't miss my belly. I am *thrilled* to be back on track to getting my pre-pg bod back. I've actually posted a photo of myself on our fridge taken right before I got pg as incentive to get back on the "fit" track. It felt *so* wonderful going down to the gym (we have a small one here at our condo complex) and working up a sweat on the treadmill the other day!

What IS bothering me, however......is my babe already feels like he's growing (up) too fast! I feel like every day with him is a day that will soon be over, too. I think that has a lot to do with knowing he is my last babe.
