What are folks doing to help get thier babes into optimal position for birthing? I was just reading the spinning babies website, so I will try to add more inversions and leaning forward while sitting and try less leaning back/slouching and lying on my back. Any other good tricks?

I've been tailor sitting and sitting on a birth ball to help widen my pelvis and be more flexible. I try to spend a while each day on my knees and elbow to encourage Luna to have her back against my tummy. I sleep on my left side, positioned with my right leg over a pillow, sort of partially on my tummy so she stays anterior.

My first babe was not positioned correctly and that played a big part in my section. Had I known last time, I would have done a lot more to try to get her lined up right.

I've been doing the stuff already mentioned, plus making sure my diaphragm muscles keep releasing. Every time I grow a little more they seem to want to tighten up to compensate.

my babe was transverse, so i started early with yoga, chiropractic, moxa and lots of birth ball sitting, and now that the babe has moved, i've continued with the yoga and birth ball, but i've cut myself a little slack on the chiro visits--i was going four times a week and it felt like it was starting to run my life, or at least my social calendar. i sleep in whatever position i can, really, but more often than not, it's on my left side with pillows between my legs.

I've been sitting on the birth ball - leaning forward, doing big circles with my pelvis. Tailor sitting on the floor. Pelvic tilts. Sleeping on left side with right leg propped on pillow. chiro appts.

I've got to check out spinning babies. I have no idea how my baby is. I just know he's really high and his heartbeat is usually up high too. So I need to start doing something to influence him a bit.
