Because this is my third (Viable?) pregnancy, out of seven, and I started spotting bits of brownish a bit ago and it won't stop. This didn't happen with my last two, and I don't remember my miscarriages enough to say if this happened with them but I'm pretty positive it didn't because overall I just don't spot.

Anyway, it is nerve-wracking, even though I know that some women have entire periods throughout their pregnancies... and that 80% of women who spot go on to have healthy babies.
I suppose I need to hear it straight from a mom's mouth.

I had brown spotting for 3 weeks. It finally just stopped when I reached 9 wks. It's very scary!!

Hang in there I'm sure everything is okay!

I have a friend that did/does. She actually bleeds to the point that she thinks she's having a light period a month after she gets pg.

It's lonely being the only XX in a house of XYs.

I'm so glad you posted this littleteapot. I'm in the same situation, have been spotting almost every day for the last 2 weeks. Never had this with my first pregnancy. My best friend just told me that she spotted almost the whole first trimester with her first pregnancy. She miscarried her second pregnancy and never spotted at all. It is nerve-wracking, isn't it?

I spotted with brown and pink and a small red goob (size of 2 grains of rice) for about 2 weeks last time. It was from week 6-8. She is now almost 2 and a half.

My midwife said it was very normal and not to worry about brown blood at all. She said that the uterus sheds leftover matter after impalantation and often that becomes part of the mucus plug (hence a brown mucusy blob). But in a lot of women it will show up as spotting early in pregnancy.

I'm sorry this is so stressful, I am praying for a good outcome for you. last year was difiicult with the loss of your son. I hope this year brings you joy.

From about six weeks I have had spotting ranging from red, to pink to brown and colored EWCM. But everything looks great on the u/s and since 12.5 weeks <knock on wood> I haven't had any more! Good luck to you!

This started in the 7th week of my pregnancy with baby #3. The bleeding went for an entire 3 weeks due to a blood clot on the gestational sac. It eventually absorbed while I was on bedrest until week 10 -- she was born healthy and strong!!!!!

With my (now 11yo) I spotted so much for several weeks that I thought for sure I'd had a miscarriage & was actually very surprised at the ultrasound to find out that she was okay.

With this pregnancy I had a week of spotting at the beginning which went away on it's own. (I did take a bunch of things to help it stop...Red Raspberry Leaf Tea, false unicorn root, vitamin E)
With the last baby that I lost I never spotted at all.
