Anybody else having terrible bloating and gas, with cramps? My abdomen gets so distended and painful in the evenings especially. I just don't know what to do about it, how to get rid of the pain, or better yet, prevent it altogether. I'm so miserable.
Any ideas?

I have this problem on occasion. I take a product called "Colon Care." Drink that in a glass of water to get things moving along again. It tastes nasty, but works gently and does a good job.

That's the only advice I have.

Thanks, Janna. I'm definitely not constipated.

I finally got smart and asked my MW and she suggested a digestive enzyme supplement. Duh! So I just bought one. I'll post back if it helps or not.

Good! I hope that helps. I think that helped my friend a lot when she was pregnant.

I had so much gas pain with cramp-like feeling in the beginning of my pg that I though I was m/c-ing. But bb is fine and I'm still pregnant.

I was going to recommend enzymes as well as probiotics.

Thanks for bringing this up. I belch like a methane factory -otherwise the pain/discomfort keeps me awake and cranky. Sweetie keeps telling me that I don't have to say "Excuse me," after each one/each series, but I'm trying to cling to the last vestiges of ettiquette. We have agreed, though, better upstairs than down.

Yoga can help, too. Sitting on bent knees (butt on ankles) and slowly turning from side to side is a gentle way to get your gut moving. I really like "Step-By-Step Yoga For Pregnancy"
by Wendy Teasdill. She talks specifically about relieving some discomforts of pregnancy with different yoga positions.
