I can't believe this, but the baby is already kicking up in my ribs! How did he get so big so quickly??? It's like he's on a pogo stick in there, one minute down very low, almost at my pubic bone and then the next minute he propels himself to my ribs. Crazy baby! Last night dh and I had a fun game of "Where's the next kick?" Part of my is terrified that he is going to be huge-my last was 22" and 10lbs. I have big babies and know I can handle them, but I also vividly remember just how sore I was for weeks afterward. Yikes!

That is too funny!! I can't really feel kicks up top yet. They are all right around my pubic bone. I had a 10 + pounder too for #2 and keep telling everyone that I'm trying to grow an 11 pounder this time. The shocked looks are just TOO funny.

I'm the same way-Part of me is scared of a bigger (11+) baby, but part of me would LOVE to have one as the shock value is hysterical. They especially freak out when they find out you have a baby that big at home.

every time I feel a "high" kick (I have not felt any in my ribs yet) I try and convince myself that its just gas...

It's not your baby.
It's probably your misplaced intestines. Your baby can't kick up there yet, because they aren't big enough. You'd have to be measuring around 32cm or higher for your baby to be all the way into your ribs.

Last night I was feeling something "move" up there and was totally weirded out when I realized it was my intestines! I told DH and he was really skeeved. The idea that all my internal organs are rearranged weirds him out.

Well crud. Intestines are not nearly as fun to play with as the baby!
