Ok, I totally stole this idea from browsing the other ddc's but it is an excellent idea!

Ok, so we make our predictions and then after the babies are born we can update our post and see how close we were.

Should be fun hey?

So lets include the following:

Sex: (ok some of you know this, but for those who dont)
Date:
Time:
Length of labor:
Weight:
Length:

Maybe also include why you have these feelings or intuitions as well?

Good idea Andrea! Here's mine

Sex: Girl (I do go back and forth on this, but mostly I think we're having a girl)
Date: September 15, 2006
Time: early evening
Length of labor: 5-6 hours
Weight: 7lb 1oz
Length: 20 in

A few weeks ago I was talking to DH about the birth announcements that I can't wait to order. I can't wait to have HOMEBIRTH on there and a picture of all of us cuddled in our bed!! Anyway, as I was talking about it I randomly said the baby would be born on Sept 15. That night I was talking to my mom and she started talking about my grandparents 65th anniversary. Well, it's Sept 15th. I totally forgot LOL. I think it would be so awesome if this babe was born on that day Even if it is 3 days after my EDD.

Sarah loving wife to Scot...joyous mama to...

Sex: Im thinking Girl because none of my boy names "fit", but dd and dh think its a boy. Dd even drew a picture of a blue baby in my tummy with a big penis on it LOL
Date: October 3rd
Time: early evening
Length of labor: 8-10 hours
Weight: 7.5 lbs
Length: 19 inches

Disclaimer: most of these are wild guesses I was wrong about EVERYTHING with dd too :P

Editing today because dd says baby is comming Oct 1 and I also had a very weird dream where everyone kept repeating over and over that the baby was comming 4 weeks early.

Weight: 7 lbs 6 oz
Length: 20 inches

Sex: GIRL
Date: October 7th, 2006
Time: dinnertime
Length of labor: 9 hours
Weight: 9lbs 8oz
Length: 22 in

I put October 7th as the date... I'm actually due September 27th, but dd was 19 days past my EDD, so I'm giving this one an extra 10 days to cook in there! I have put dinnertime for my time of delivery because I want to go into labour in the early morning so that dd can attend her preschool in the morning/early afternoon while I labour and dh can go pick her up just a few hours before baby's born. Weight and length, I added a half pound and 1/2 an inch to dd1 because 2nd babies are usually bigger!

Fun thread!

Peaceful mama to three blissfully-birthed and incredible small people: dd10, dd7 and ds5. Always awed and so thankful to be a midwife.

Sex: Supposed to be a girl.....
EDD: Sept 1
Guessing: Sept 4 EXACTLY 1 month before ds 2 yrs!!
Time: 10 p.m. no sleep for the weary....
Length of labor: 9-12....depends on my stress level....i think ds would have been much faster than the 16 hours but i got stressed in the middle of it all and SLOWED down...
Weight: 7 lbs 13 oz...i didn't think it was possible for me to birth Ds (8 lbs) but girls are supposed to be smaller...i hope.
Length: 20 in

i need to keep this...i know its going to be way off!!

Sex: It's a boy
Date: I'm hoping the 21st (a lot of b-days around my due date, and don't want him to share it with any of my crazy family members.
Time: Evening (7ish)
Length of labor: 8-10 hours
Weight: 9lbs 9oz
Length: 21"

These are all just based on my first labor, and I slightly adjusted all my numbers from that one.

Sex: I want to say a boy because everyone else says it's a girl.
Date: September 6th.
Time: 10:30pm
Length of labor: 8 hours (this is more of a wish!)
Weight: 6 lbs 10 oz
Length: 19 inches - DS was 7 lbs 2 oz and 20 inches and I have a feeling that this one will be a little smaller!

I am so convinced of this date- it'll be funny to see how accurate we are. (Or how way off I will be!)

Sex: Boy (although since we had u/s I've been having some girl feelings, maybe it's jsut wishful thinking )
Date: Sept 7th
Time: 2:54 pm
Length of labor: 7 hours
Weight: 7 pounds, 2 ounces
Length: 19 inches

Lets see... I say Sept 7th becuse DS was about 16 days early so I feel this one will be easrly too. Plus Sept 7th is a full moon & and an eclipse. (ETA: as long as it isn't on or too close to FIL's bday of 9/11 I am happy) The eclipse will be around the time I put for birth which is odd since I randomly picked that time My labor w/ DS was 9 hours so I am hopefully that this one will be a bit shorter or about the same. 7 pounds, 2 ounces was the weight I guessed for DS but he was 6 pounds, 13 ounces so this one could very likely be a tad bigger.

This will be fun to look at after the big day!!! Thanks!

Sex: Human, that's as far as I'll go.
Time: start labor 3 am
Length of labor: 1 hour (lol)
Weight: 8 lb 10 oz
Length: 20 in

I started both prev labors at 3 am, so I'm going with that time. For labor length, I know 1 hr is a joke, but my 2nd labor was 1/3rd the time of my first (15 hrs, then 3) so it'd be funny to 1/3rd the time again. I'm carrying like I did with dd, so I'll go similar birth weight and length. Tee hee.

Sex: Girl... (That's what I think and DD thinks and others even before we tell them we don't know. Although that probably means BOY for sure )
Date: September 17
Time: start labor 10pm
Length of labor: 8ish hours
Weight: 10 lb 10 oz
Length: 21

I'm kind of basing this off #2 since he wasn't induced and #1 was. I choose the 17 because my kids have both been born on a Sunday. I think this one will be bigger because this will be our first/only TX birth and EVERYTHING is bigger in TX LOL! DS was 10lb 1oz.

Guess:
Sex: Boy
Date: Saturday, September 23
Time: Between 3-6 pm
Length of labor: 8-12 hours
Weight: 9 lbs 6 ozs
Length: 20 inches

No real intuition, just hoping that I have a Libra baby and don't go two weeks over this time. As for height and weight, I'm just rounding up from ds1 stats.

Actual:
Sex: Boy
Date: Tuesday, September 12
Time: 10:54 am
Length of labor: 3 hours 24 minutes
Weight: 8 lbs 15 ozs
Length: 21 inches

It's interesting to look back and compare the guess with the actual. I really thought my labor would be longer and a little less intense.

Sex: Girl
Date: September 1
Time: 12-3 pm
Length of labor: 6-8 hours (1/2 the length of my first labor)
Weight: 6 pounds, 12 ounces
Length: 19 inches

There's no intuition involved in my guesses. They're just based off of dd's birth. I made the labor shorter, time the same and baby stats just a little larger. I guess we'll find out soon enough!

ACTUAL

Sex: Boy
Date: September 4
Time: 6:51 pm
Length of labor: abot 2 hours
Weight: 6 pounds, 13 ounces

i really don't want to guess on this babe's gender, i want to be suprised! both of my girls have been born right after 6am, so i'm thinking this one will be the same... and as my last labor was 3hrs from start to finish i'm thinking this one will be short too.

Sex: Dunno, might start labor, though

Time: 4 a.m.

Date: October 1st

Length of labor: 10 hours

Weight: 9 lbs

Length: I have no idea! Tall, I'm 5'8 and DH is 6'3

I got a proof of pregnancy yesterday for work from planned parenthood, and I told her my EDD was October 1st, by my LMP it's September 15th. I feel pretty stongly that baby will be late!

I reserve the right to change my mind... as of right now here's how I feel.

Sex: Girl! (we know this)
Date: 9/23 or 9/29
Time: Morning, around 7am
Length of labor: 12hrs (though shorter would be great!)
Weight: 8Lbs6oz
Length: 20"

I'm thinking squishy will be late like her sisters. Just not sure how late, my first was 4 days past EDD and my second was 2 days past EDD, for some reason I'm thinking she'll be later than them. I'm in no hurry, and doubt I will be then either. If I had to choose a date for her to be born it would be 9/26 SIL's BDay. BIL has a nephew born on his bday so I think SIL should have a nice born on hers. Since I think she'll be late-ish I'm guessing she'll weigh about a half pound more than DD2 did. I think she'll be born later in the morning than the other 2 too, but in soft natural light.

Sex: BOY :
Date: September 26th
Time: EARLY A.M.
Length of labor: 8 hours (please)
Weight: 8lbs 3ounces
Length:21 inches

I am supposedly due the beginning of October, but I'm being hopeful to deliver in September.

My late mama's birthday was September 26th...I would love to have this baby then My last labor (posterier position, awful hospital birth) was so long...anything shy of 20 hours would be a blessing. My DH is 6'4" so I'm thinking long baby...and heavier because both DH & I were big babies ourselves.

I usually don't participate but this one seems so fun
EDD: Spetember 18th
Predictions:
I think its a girl based on timing of conception and my intuition.
date of delivery: September 23rd
Time: Early morning maybe around 5 am
Length of Labor: Umm hoping for under 24 hours but who knows
Weight: 8 pounds 4 ounces
Length: 21 inches
Why I have these predictions:
This is our first so I have no idea, I based the weight and inches on a combo of me and dh, I was 8 pounds 13 ounces and I had a dream in which my mom was telling me don't worry she won't be over 9 pounds. But who knows, I put early morning because that is my favorite time. I was born on a very new moon so I think this baby will be too. Then i had a dream I was in labor on September 22nd(weird I know) September 23rd is when we move into Libra, I have tons of Virgo friends and relatives yet I only have two male acaintainces that are Libras therefore I think this baby is a Libra and will come to us early in the am on September 23rd. (Wow I made this a little long)

Sex: Girl (have had 4 ultrasounds now b/c of cord issues and everytime they tell me girl)
Date: August 28 Duedate is 9-13 but just have this feeling that she is going to be born in august
Time: 9:00 Am
Labor: 6 hours
Weight: 8 pounds 10 ounces (I have big babies)
Length: 20 inches long

Sex: Girl
Date: Sept. 10
Time: 3 pm
Labor: 8 hrs
Weight: 7 lbs 7 oz
Length: 20 inches

The ultrasound said girl, but DH is still holding out hope for a boy. I thought it was likely to be a girl from the beginning, based on the timing of sex & ovulation.

Due date is Sept 17/18, but I think Baby is either going to be a week early or a week late!

DH, DD & I were all born in the early afternoon.

I'm thinking (hoping) 8 hrs for labor based on when I think I would have delivered DD if I hadn't gone to the hopsital.

Weight & length guesses are just a little bigger than DD.

Actual
Sex: Girl
Date: Sept. 27
Time: 3:21 pm
Labor: 3 hrs
Weight: 7 lbs 6 oz
Length: 20.5 inches

So date & length of labor were way off, but weight & length were amazingly close!

I've been more of a lurker on the Sept board (poster on the Oct) since I had my first U/S & they said due date of Oct 2/3 but since I'm always 2-3 weeks early...I'm going to play along (hope y'all don't mind... )

Sex: girl (the tech was 99.9% sure)
Date: Sept 12 or 18
Time: between 12 & 6 am
Length of labor: 1-2 hours or less from start of ctx
Weight: 6 lbs 5oz
Length: 19"

Maybe also include why you have these feelings or intuitions as well?

Most of my reasons are based on patterns with my last 5 babies. (3 of my girls have been 6lb 1oz @ 37-38 weeks, 1 was 5lb 7oz but she was 36 weeks & my sn was 7lb 1oz a week overdue). I have had dreams of this baby being born during the middle of the night. My labours (from the start of ctx) have gotten shorter each time...last time was 45 min. My babies are usually 17-19" long. And I have numerological reasons (patterns) backing up those possible dates. (although I was wrong with our last baby...she was born on a date that I hadn't predicted)

Sex:
I don't know. I'm thinking girl this time around.
Date: Sept 24-28
Time: between the hours of 4am-7am
Length of labor: 9 hours
Weight: 7lbs 8oz
Length: 21 inches (my last was 21 inches)

Maybe also include why you have these feelings or intuitions as well?

Truthfully, I don't know. Just this feeling I have.

Sex: A surprise. DH is strongly leaning toward girl, I'm semi-hoping for a boy. Coworkers say girl. We'll see!
Date: Sept 13
Time: Early morning
Length of labor: 8 hours
Weight: 7 pounds 3 ounces
Length: 19 inches

These are all total guesses as I have never done this before!

ETA the actual results (in italics)

Sex: No idea. I'm a little surprised at having NO vibe one way or the other. Until about 18 weeks, I really thought boy, but now I have no idea. We couldn't tell from the u/s.
It was a girl!

Date: I think it will be early (I was). And EDD is 9/3. So let's say 9/1. I hope this doesn't come back to haunt me!!
Very early! Arrived 8/12. Mama's intuition was right on with this one -- and no one believed me, ha!

Time: I never seem to imagine labor or delivery happening at night, which is probably wishful thinking. So let's say I'll go into labor late morning and deliver early evening.
Sorta accurate. Water broke 3:30 am, but didn't feel contractions until late morning. Then it lasted longer than I predicted! Birthed at 12:40 am.

Length of labor: 8 hours. Don't know why I think that. Not super short, not super long, I guess.
Hard to say. Active labor started around 3pm and I delivered at 12:40, so I guess that was close.

Weight: 8 or 9 lbs. I am thinking this baby will be big!
7lb 10oz -- would have been that big if she'd baked a little longer!

Length: Whatever length "long" is! The u/s we had at 23 weeks said the femurs were really long, and DH and his family are all tall, lanky folks.
20 inches. Still not sure if that is long!

Maybe also include why you have these feelings or intuitions as well?
It's funny, I haven't posted on this thread before because I don't feel like I have "intuitions" on this stuff, really. But I realized I do imagine things happening a certain way, so I suppose that's a form of "intuition"!

REALLY don't remind me that I thought the baby would come early when I'm 41.5 weeks and miserable.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

This thread is so fun!

Sex: No idea, really...everyone says boy and if I really think about it I would probably go that way as well. I think DH is secretly hoping for a girl just to shock all of those with their strong opinions. We'll be thrilled either way.

Date: 9/22 or 9/23 or maybe 9/16...who knows??

Time: Evening...I loved laboring at night with #1.

Length: 6 hours (wishful thinking...DS was 9 1/2 hours with nearly 4 hours of pushing)

Weight: Let's go with 8lbs 12oz. DS was 8.4 and although I haven't gained as much weight with this one, I'm feeling like this one is a big baby.

Baby's length: Umm...same as my first: 20.5"

I feel like my intuition isn't nearly as strong as others this time around, so all of these are basically up for grabs. Hope everyone is feeling well!

Actual:

3 hour labor with 20 minutes of pushing- woo hoo!
7lbs 15oz, 20"

So much for mama's intuition

I am going to have a girl on September 8th in the evening. She'll be around 8.5 lbs and 21 inches. I suspect that I will labor slowly all day (while I question is this labor?!) with it picking up a lot right toward the end.

Bear in mind this will be my first child and I haven't had any ultrasounds- I just feel like its a girl.

Mama to Raina (9/06) and Peter (8/09)!
