sign of upcoming labor or not?

She's still moving - I just have to provoke her into doing so most of the time.

I have been having contractions off and on for the past week - but stronger today. Still nothing very regular though.

Have no idea if I'm dialated or not - can't reach to check :

It's a sign of baby running out of space!

On checking dilation, the only way I can reach it is if I'm laying in the tub or on my bed with my knees up. For most people putting one foot up on the toilet works, but not me, that just sends my cervix to the back!

I don't think I would call it a sign of impending labour, just a normal event of late pregnancy. Babes have less room to move around and so movements change in quality. You sure are ready for labour, aren't you mama?

Peaceful mama to three blissfully-birthed and incredible small people: dd10, dd7 and ds5. Always awed and so thankful to be a midwife.
