For some reason I thought I'd have this baby by now... the waiting is starting to get to me. I keep having these bouts of insecurity and anxiety. Anyone else on an emotional rollercoaster - confident one minute and freaked out the next?

Mama to Sophia (2/25/04) , Oliver (10/24/06) , and Norah (3/2/10).

I am right there with ya mama! I am due on Friday. I know I am going to go late which is fine with me. But the emotional roller coaster is killing me. I think it would be easier if I wouldn't be getting all these contractions and pain only to have it calm down later in the day. HUgs!

UHG!!!

I am due tomorrow and doesn't look like our little guy is as anxious to come out as we are to have him...

I'm really trying to consider that he needs to come when he's ready...I accept that...just wish the itchies were gone so I wouldn't worry about the bile stuff.

I feel like my life is on hold though I know I can still go about my daily business. I just feel like I want to 'wait' for him and not do too much.

plus this whole day has struck me with a HUGE bout of heartburn and nausea.

So I wait and wait and talk to Ethan saying he can come out anytime...we're ready for him.

I'm only 27 1/2 weeks so I'm not that anxious yet, but I can sympathize.

When I read the thread title... it popped up in my mind to the music of the song rawhide:

Waiting waiting waiting, keep those mamas waiting, no braxton hicks abaiting... baaaaaa bbbbbbyyyyyyy...... kick em out.... keep em in... knocked her up.... she's stuck again.... that baby is taking forever ... waiting.

(yes I know I am an idiot, but you love me anyway!)

The waiting is definitely getting to me too. I waver between feeling anxious and excited and lately grumpy. I just know that this really big event is going to occur soon and while I very much love the idea that I don't know when labor will start and I am excited to give birth again, I just want to get it over with now too! Enough waiting already! I'm 38 weeks and 1 day now. I know I may still have to wait a while. BUT this weekend -- this Saturday -- is not only a full moon, it is also a harvest moon. I have hope that it will help bring out all babies who are ready!

Today I am 11 days past my due date. (exact based on conception)
We too are getting emotionally burnt out from the anxious/waiting feeling. :

I can't remember how it is defined. I read about it the other day but have now forgotten. All I know is that in the next harvest full moon is PST 3:13 AM on Saturday the 7th.

The above link has EST. It is on the 6th at 11 PM I believe. I'm gonna go do more research now. But I really do think there will be lots of babies born! I know they say when the barometric pressure is low as well that there is an increase in births, but I'm not sure how to find out about that. Science is not my background! And what is considered "low" when it comes to barometric pressure?

I think a blue moon is the second full moon in a month. Not sure about a harvest moon.

That may be right about the blue moon. I just read that the harvest moon is the one that falls closest to the autumnal equinox.

That would be a great day to have a baby! A Harvest Moon baby! But today would be a great day too!

And Pumpkinsmama, that song is hilarious!

I've decided to go to the bead store today to pick out and start a big project — that should get labor going!!

The second full moon in a single month is called the blue moon. The full moon in october is called the harvest moon.

I'm trying to finish a big cross stitch project that is intended as a Christmas gift and would really like to be done with it before my son arrives. But I did think similarly... maybe this will make him come sooner. Hee hee

It may have worked with my first baby. Dh and I started a huge puzzle a few days before she was born, and never did finish it.
