Hi! So, I just realized that you can purchase reusable nursing pads (I'm sure one could also make them from scratch, but I'm a moron when it comes to sewing things together). I've been using the Lansinoh dispoable pads. They're great b/c they are absorbent and they do not show underneath my shirt (versus a couple of other brands which were really bulky and looked like I had two discs over my boobs).

Can anyone recommend though their reusable nursing pads?

Are they super-absorbent?

Easy to clean?

Do they show underneath your bra/shirt?

Thanks in advance for any recommendations/advice you can give!

I also use the Lansinoh pads. I haven't purchased any reusable ones so I can't tell you what I think of them but my SIL uses/used them so I will send her this way and I'm sure she will let you know what she thought of them.

hey, i's lab80's sil. i used like every kind fo washable nursing pads. my fav are wool ones for the early days when it was heavier, and 2 or 3 layer flannel ones for when it wasn't so bad. unfortunately, i have not tried any that were thinner than most disposable pads. they are definately bulkier.

Hmm...I was never able to get away with the reusables. They were so obvious under my clothing and often stuck to my nipples making removal a little uncomfortable. I tried 3 different brands, an organic fleece brand, Lansinoh reusables, and Gerber reusables (which always leaked, but my sister liked them and they didn't show up as much under my clothes). Did anyone else have this problem? I am a C cup, perhaps that is the problem?
