How are you dealing with the desire to wretch when rinsing out poopy dipes? Or am I the only one doing this right now?

I find myself praying he'll only poop when DH is home!

I am blessed with very little nausea at this time

We will see. Although....the smell of poo has intensified.

We are concentrating more on EC.

Rinse out poopy diapers? Uh...Ds's poops are still so soft that I don't bother. They just get clean in the wash.

Actually, we had to use sposies for a week because ds had bad rash. Now THOSE diapers made me nauseous. OMG! The wet ones and the poopy ones. I don't know how moms do it!

My son's poops are still VERY soft - mostly the same consistency of bfed poops (he's just kinda getting the hang of this solids thing - fine with me). I just rinse them before they get pailed so that there isn't as much of a smell and they come cleaner (we use mostly prefolds and a couple fuzzibunz).

I'm thankful that I don't have full-blown morning sickness (yet?) - the diapers (and the smell of gasoline at the gas station) are the only smells that have made me ill at all... probably because they smell so much stronger with preggo-nose.

the gagging started in full force for me last night, I'm gagging at everything now (this is how it was with my other pregnancies, I'd get the gags for a day or two, then full blown MS)

You should try fleece liners, they help to minimize the stickiness on diapers. There was a period with my second pregnancy that I just started tossing the fleece liners when they got pooped on. I figured it was better than tossing a disposable, LOL!

I'm fine w/ my kids (not in cloth right now), but it's other people's kids I can't take. lol I work part time in a nursery setting and I just can't handle the poo!

I'm not doing diapers, but I even gag when my son doesn't flush the toilet and I get a "surprise" when I go into the bathroom. Ugh.
Ok.....let's get out of the bathroom

I can barley get DH to change a wet one let along a poopy one. He has never changed a poopy diaper, he just flat out refuses to.
: He would either make my 12 year old change it or let her sit in it.

I'm not the SAHM right now, dh is the SAHD. But he often leaves the poopy ones for me. Not anymore since I'm preggo, but he did before. He had to deal with all the changes and doing the pee dipes, and he'd leave the one or two poopy ones in a pile for me on the back of the toilet, so I'd clean them when I came home and went potty.

Maybe you could just do the same? Leave the poopy dipes in the bathtub or something for dh to clean when he gets home?

I'm not in full blown MS yet... I'm just slightly queasy, but I am worried about the poopy diapers. I keep telling DS he needs to poopy train real quick.
I have a friend whose baby #1 was potty trained for poop only when she was preggo with #2. That was really nice. Not happening for my DS though... He's not pooped in the potty yet. He's only peed once. He does sit on it and will even read a Sears Craftsman hardware catalog and grunt (think Home Improvement) while reading it... really cute. But not very productive yet.

Luckily, DS *usually* has firm poops that plop easily into the toilet, but they do SMELL. And lately he's had some messy ones at times, so I'm sure I'll have to deal with it eventually. If it gets too bad, I might just let the washer take care of it, and just wipe out food chunks after the washer is done - they're not as gross that way. (although typing "food chunks" does make me queasy
... kind of like the commercial I keep hearing on the radio for a dentist that does alot of dental implants... this lady talks about denture ooze, and the way she says ooze just makes me want to puke! And that was before pregnancy even! So now I just have to change the station as soon as I hear that commercial).

I probably have a couple weeks before I start feeling *really* sick. Last pregnancy, I never threw up, but just felt constantly queasy and came close to throwing up a couple times, but was able to deep breathe the feeling away (no, that doesn't work for everyone!!!). One of my worst fears of pregnancy was throwing up. We'll see how this one goes... may or may not be the same! I'm only barely 4 weeks along though.

Who is clearing them out? I need to get a few more S for this baby (if you don't mind sharing, of course...)
