I was wondering what old wive's tales you know to find out the sex of the baby. I just took a highly scientific (HA!) quiz based on old wive's tales to find out the sex of the baby. When I was reading my results I noticed that some of the owt were the exact opposite from what I was told. Like

I always believed it was the other way around. I did the ring test and dh ruined it for me by telling me it is possible to subconsciously move the ring the way you "want" it to move. Meanie.

Either way it's just plain interesting to hear the different ones.

lol, I like the one about which way your pillow faces. In other words, if you never move your bed or sleep with your head at the foot of the bed, all your babies will be the same gender! lol!

I also tend to hear a lot of them that contradict each other. I personally think those things are dumb. I've also heard if a pregnant woman sees a pig when she's pregnant the baby will come out with a pig's nose... huh? Yeah, all kids on farms have to have reconstructive sugery as infants! They keep it very hush-hush...

: There was a pig loose at the end of my street one day during this pregnancy!

: I'll let ya'll know if the baby has a pig's nose, or a goat's nose, or a dog's nose, or a cat's nose, or a rabbit's nose, or a cow's nose... what other animals have I seen during pregnancy and see everyday?

Mama to Tornado Boy (6/04), The Brute (11/06), and Mischief (05/09)... expecting in February '15

I've heard all sorts of Old wives Tales.
I heard that if you're carrying low it's a boy, high it's a girl.
If you have heartburn, it means the baby is going to have a lot of hair.
Don't reach above your head, the cord could wrap around the baby's neck.
There's so many that I can only think of a few right now.... basically what it boils down to is superstition and luck. They are fun to hear though.
