feel free to join in...

My hips are killing me!

This babe is placed so differently then the boys... they were both posterior and really never engaged until just before they came out... I had back pain and sciatic nerve pain but my hips didn't hurt nearly as much as they do now...

This babe seems to have dropped and about the time I noticed it, the pain started... I feel like I am being ripped in two from the inside... there is so much pressure in my hips and I can't seem to get relief...

I sit on a excercise ball often which feels great but then when I get up it is worse... I would love to soak in the bath but my bath is really shallow and it really doesn't help... I have so much trouble sleeping and turning and walking is just a joke... I walk for a bit and then I can't move anymore... Last Friday I made the mistake of going shopping and I still feel the effects...

This weekend will be even worse... DH has to work over the weekend... So not only won't I get any relief from him being home... also DH works over an hour away and doesn't drive... Sat morning he needs to be at work at 6am... there are no buses that leave for that time... SO, either we find a place to sleep in Montreal on Friday and he can leave from there in the morning... OR he comes home on Friday night and we get the kids in the car and head out at about 4:30am :... he is working from 6am - 8pm so I will be in the city with the kids the whole day (not an easy task when you have no real "base" and then we have to find a place to crash on Sat night to do the same on Sunday (though he will be finishing earlier on Sunday)... but I am going to be walking a lot this weekend... at least he will be taking the day off on Monday so I will have a day to relax a bit...
I could stay home with the kids and he could find a place by himself at a friends house or his dad's or sister's appt but the kids (and I) would be really sad to not see him for three days... we are really close a family and neither of us likes to sleep away from the kids or eachother and we never have...
Anyways... I just needed to complain a bit...

Sorry you are having so much pain.
Reading your description, I wonder if that is why my hips are hurting so much everytime I wake up at night, or when I get up in the AM. My babe is posterior too, and people keep telling me I look like I dropped. (just recently)

Luckily for me it seems to go away after I get up in the morning. Maybe he moves a little or something to give me relief.
sorry you are experiencing such discomfort and hope that you can get some relief soon!

Good luck
Erica

My hips/pelvis hurts too, it is no fun! Nights are worst. I found that getting into the swimming pool gave me relief - at least while I was in...but I do not have a chance to go very often, my hubby seems to be away a lot as well, and chasing a 2.5 year old round the pool on slippery floor while 38wks pregnant is not very relaxing.
Hope you will find a way to make yourself comfy...

I've been having the same hip and lower back pain. Last night I woke up and hips hurt so much I could barely move. the most comfortable position for me is in a recliner but my doula said to avoid that because it increases the chances of dd being posterior. I also think she dropped because I have been feeling a lot of downward pressure. I am also really moody.

I cried tonight after having a shower because my hip pain is so bad! It is all the bending and standing that does it. I am not sure how much more I can take. I am going to try stretching and using a hot water bottle after I go offline.

I hope you find some relief.

I too love my chiro and he did wonders for other pains that I have but this pain is just so deep and on the inside of my pelvis KWIM...

Anyways... it has been a bit better the last few days because I have been keeping off my feet as much as I can... the kids are bored and restless but at least I am in a bit less pain...

I have a feeling that things will get a bit worse over the weekend though since I will be running around with the kids the whole weekend...

When my birthing tub gets here I think I am going to do a test run
