so the title kind of says it all. My 3.5 yr old is a sweet little boy, except for bed times and bath times and when he's decided that its his way or a meltdown (screaming until he's hoarse, slapping, throwing himself on the floor/street) I know I have a tendency to hurry him, and I've been trying to start our excursions earlier so that we can get ready/out the door without the added stress of a time crunch. But that doesn't seem to be helping the situation. It was really bad this weekend and I was just the worst mom, lots of yelling (after trying to coax him, bargain with him, bribe him, etc) to take a bath/go to bed. And of course it just makes both of us upset and feeling bad. I feel like because he's a bright kid, and has a great command of language, that I have expectations that are more appropriate for a 5 year old not a 3.5 year old. But sometimes I just don't know how to handle him. Any suggestions, ideas?

Thanks mamas!
