Hi Mamas,

I'm hoping for some advice on dealing with my 2 year old throwing things in the house. He throws toys, both hard and soft, and anything else he can get his hands on. I understand that, developmentally, he has no impulse control and can't comprehend a rule like "no throwing things in the house", but I'd really like this behaviour to stop.

I've tried ignoring the behaviour. I try distraction, but it doesn't always work. I've also got a 6 week old, so properly distracting him isn't always possible. I've started removing the toys he commonly throws, but he just finds something else.

Is there anything else I can try, aside from waiting it out?

Thanks for any advice...

Tara

Never mind, I see this has been covered extensively in the past!
