We find out today when our DD is going to be born. I have an appt at 4:15 to schedule my C/S with my OB, then i have to call and let the midwives know so they can order all my blood work. Normally i wouldn't be so excited about a c/s but this time we get to book it unlike last time which was an emergency- it is kinda neat to know when your baby is being born.

I am having a scheduled C section too!!! my last one as an emergency after 20 hours of labor... so I totally know what you mean... it will be cool to know his birthday and also not to be so exhausted afterwards that I can barely hold my head up long enough to kiss him... I know if all goes well for us...my scheduled section will be the week between Christmas and new year... they wanted to do it in my 38th week which is the week before Christmas but I asked to put it off another week so he has a better chance to bake and besides I didn't want to be in the hospital for Christmas if I could help it thats not fair to my other child.. who by the way turned 4 years old today!!! MY BABY IS 4!!!! so I have one Thanksgiving turkey and I will be having a Christmas Ham!!! hehe..

Well my ob is on holidays during the week before and after christmas, and because i only want him, we have decided on the first available spot in Jan. although if i go into labour during that time he is in town and will delivery me. So my baby's birthday is January 3!!!! which is great because my sister and i both have birthday's on the 3rd- hers is march, mine is december and now my dd gets to join us.

Doesn't it make it all startlingly real! I am so happy for you!

I scheduled my c-section a few days ago...December 15!! YIKES! I have so much to do....and that's three weeks from today!! (I too would not normally be excited about a c-section, but we've got to get him out early due to my diabetes and last time I was induced, pushed for three hours, and then ended up having a c-section anyway, exhausted and disheartened. At least this time, I know what's happening up front!)

We are scheduling my section the week between Christmas and New Year ...(hopefully) they would like to do it before Christmas, but I am trying to bake him for as long as possible... I went overdue last time so I don't think waiting until 39 weeks should be a problem.... and if it is we will deal with it as it happens.... good luck to you Mamas.. heres to a swift and painless recovery for us all!!
