Hi All!

I am 32 wks and carrying HIGH! I just started to feel like it is harder to breath and can no longer slouch at all (not that that was ever good!!) so I am forced to sit with good posture. Not a bad thing, but my muscles are so very sore!! And, I have two months to go more or less... I knew this would happen but I didn't think it would come so soon...what will I do in a month from now even?

I know it will be fine and maybe the babe will drop deeper into my pelvis at some point but for now I can't go to my chiropractor every day (I am SO envious of my clients who have chiros for husbands!!!!).

Will my back muscles get used to this? I feel like that image of the nun and her wip telling me to sit up straight, or else, is coming back to haunt me. Please tell me you get used to this... : Paige

I was carrying really high as well... with ds I carried low so this was so new to me. About 2 wks ago I dropped and man it felt good with the exception of having to pee alot more. I don't know if you will get used to it but with any luck baby will drop soon for you. (hugs)

Hi Paige,
I am feeling this way too...for several weeks now, I feel exactly as you describe.
It is worse at night after I've been lying down and the baby shifts higher up in my abdominal/chest cavity. I wake up feeling very claustrophic as if I can't get enough air.
I don't know if we do get used to it...but I feel relieved that it will over soon

Yep, me too. I'm 34 weeks, but measuring 36 and my baby likes to snuggle up near my lungs and ribs. If I eat more than a moderate sized meal, I have breathing issues. Not fun. To top it off, I twisted around too quickly today and I think I pulled a muscle near my lower rib/back area. Ouch! Be careful mamas, and go slow!

Happily parenting our snuggly wild child since 2007 and her little brother since 2011!
