Will you guys take a look at this image and give opinions please? I'm thinking of framing this and giving it to the midwife practice as a gift at my postpartum visit.

Belly and hands

Be honest, but gentle, please, I have this dream of being a photographer & took this picture (of myself...) so my confidence is a little fragile.

How's the quote? I wanted something pertinent without being sappy.

I think I need to move the author's name up, but I'm not sure. How's the contrast between words and image.

Thank you!

I should add that the practice has a few pieces of pregnancy-type art there and would be a place that this would fit into.

SO GORGEOUS!! your belly looks so smooth and creamy!

Okay. I'm a layout designer as a big part of my job. SO...I'd move the authors name down (over the pants) and re-lay out the text so that "to be" isn't orphaned on it's own line.

I think it's just a lovely picture, and a really wonderful, thoughtful gift!!!

I love the photo! And I also have a lot of layout/design experience and agree with pp about the type. I think overall the main type may benefit from being a little smaller. The power of the image could use a little more "space"???

Your midwife will LOVE it!

I agree with the other PP re: the layout of the text... I'd also make it a bit smaller so you can relish the beautiful belly and hands... they are so gorgeous.

AND I have to say that my DH LOVES that author... excellent choice!

Beautiful belly picture.

I agree with pp about the font size and position. I think it should be smaller and maybe even a different font. That one seems to be pretty commonly used. Maybe you could download a unique font for free.

Thank you all so much!!

The font & placement were what I really felt unsure about , so I really appreciate the input. I'm going to play around with it some more & post it again later.

And thanks for the compliments on the picture!

It is beautiful!
I agree about the text. Oh and maybe you could see the outline of the belly better if the background was just a tad darker? You know, so the belly pops out more?
But what the heck do I know? You are very talented.
