I was diagnosed with GD a couple months ago and have been controlling my sugar levels with diet - it's been working out fine. But in the last few days (since Thursday?) my sugar levels have been abnormally low. A meal that normally gets my sugar up between 90 and 100 is only raising it to the low 80s. And where my sugar is normally peaked at one hour after eating and down to normal in another hour, it is peaking and staying there until the second hour, not falling to normal until the third hour.
Anyone else dealing with GD? Any ideas?
I called the dr's office this morning and (of course) only got to talk to a nurse who said "just drink some OJ if it gets too low" Well, I'm not worried about it getting too low, I can pretty much tell when it's getting too low or is too high, without even testing. I am just wondering why all of a sudden, my levels are different.
Any help would be appreciated!
Oh, if it makes a difference, I am 37-38 weeks along.
