Sorelle came in to this world on January 27th at 12:11am after only a 6 hour labor. She weighed 6lbs 4 oz...a tiny peanut and perfect in every way. It was an all natural birth just as I had planned, with a wonderful midwife, fabulous doula (who is a childhood friend), my loving boyfriend and some incredible nurses to help.
The labor was remarkably manageable, with labor pains ONLY in my rectum area! I hated the pushing, but my midwife used oils and massage on the perenium, and there was no cutting, no tearing...I had one stitch! I consider myself so incredibly lucky to have had the experience I had.
We were able to leave the hospital on Sunday, and settled in very well at home....we have been nursing beautifully, and we are as happy as can be.
I want to thank all of you fabulous mamas out there..I only found this board about 2 mos before delivery and reading the many threads really helped me prepare for the many different scenarios I could expect. This site is a gift for us, I tuly believe it, and I am so happy I found you all!
This preganacy has been a journey...I started with my regular OB....at a major Boston hopital...and after much research, and an inner voice saying wait..there has to be more...I landed with my incredible midwife Karyl Cargill and had the dream delivery with no interventions whatsoever.
Thank you all and I hope everyone is feeling wonderful with their new little peanuts!http://picasaweb.google.com/kearneypd
