I had my first one today. It took over an hour because I didnt understand they had to get a recording of the heartbeat for at least 20 mins straight, with no interruptions. Wish they explained it better. :
The baby seemed fine and the midwife seemed happy enough with the results. My ?? is what exactly does that mean, no brain damage, etc? Should I relax for awhile? Or at least until next week when I have two more? I have high blood pressure - 130/90 - so that is why I question the results, I am so concerned for baby.
Just letting off some steam here, but I loathe getting mine. I think they're inconclusive and lame. But I have a bad attitude.
The deal with mine is that they're looking for both babies to have almost identical results simultaneously. Hello? They're two different people- why would their hearts beat at the same rate (going up and doan at same time). I'm going to my tests right now, but they're in for a surprise if anyone tries to pull an induction on me. (o.k. going back to my hole to grumble privately)
