hiya

so i finally started to get our stuff ready for the clinic. i had washed the baby clothes but i hadn't got anything together for myself. anyway, i quickly looked for an expiry date on the lansinoh and it said 12/06...could it really have gone off? i think i'd need to either go to paris or order it online if it's bad.

does anyone have any clue about this?

thanks a million,
rae

As far as I know it doesn't go bad. The expiration date is relatively unimportant from what I could gather.

Can I go to Paris to get some for you ???

I don't think it goes bad.. is the container bloated or anything that would make you think stuff was growing in it?

I don't think it would go bad... I've got a tube from when DS was born in '04 and I'm not planning on throwing it away... I don't know offhand when it expired but a friend of mine used it first, and when she was done and I got pregnant, she sent it to me! LOL I've still got it!

That stuff doesn't go bad I don't think. I always have lanolin on hand, and I've had containers that have definetly been older than yours and were just fine. I wouldn't worry about it.

Like any oil/fat - if ti smells rancid, the tube is swollen with gas, or it's a funky color, smell, etc. then toss it... otherwise, I'd keep it...
