I have been battling thrush for 4 months now and wanted to run a mysterious symptom by everyone.
My nipples get this white peeling skin on my nipples a few days after treatments. Can this be dead skin, or is it gentian violet killing my skin?
Anyone else get peeling skin on their nipples during thrush?

forgive me - I've never had thrush (sorry to hear of yours) BUT I have had clogged pours on the nipple - almost waxy, whitish, I was told to 'scrub' it off with a wash cloth ouch! i ended up gently picking at it with my nail to get it all off. I'm not sure if that helped - but keep those suckers clean lol!

good luck

This is more like dead skin. Kinda shaggy and peeling. Very gross!

Flaky peeling nipples are a pretty common sign of thrush. I'm not sure why it is happening after treatment for you but it is a typical thrush symptom.

So sorry to hear that you have been battling thrush for so long!

I had peeling skin when I had a yeast infection on my breasts and I did have it during/after treatment. In my case, it was a sign that the treatment wasn't working.

Yeast can be very stubborn and I had a case that did not response to many treatments. (I also had an allergic reaction to some of the treatments.) It took several months but it was a helpful to start to know the signs that a particular treatment wasn't work and was a key step to helping to figure out what was going on. I'd recommend checking in with your OB or midwife if possible.

Warm wishes for recovery soon!

my peeling flaky skin on my nipples is due to my psoriasis...

if you have that elswhere, it'd be something to consider. An OB friend of mine told me that Yeast makes psoriasis much worse, too.
