I am still nursing my 19 month old DS and I think I have had a UTI for over a week. They gave me Macrobid at Urgent Care without confirming an infection and I still feel lousy. Now my doc wants to do a culture but recommends Cipro. What I have read about it freaks me out, I hate antibiotics anyways. I have some D Mannose I picked up today, too soon to see if that is working or not. Thoughts on Cipro? Any better alternatives? Thanks!

I'm allergic to a couple types of antibiotics so I almost always take cipro...haven't seen any issues with my babies from it yet :-)
