I need to keep a bottle/nipple/formula on hand for emergencies due to MRSA infection. Anyone have a recommendation? I may be able to pump in the future but right now I need something just in case.

Also, I need to give baby yucky meds and there is NO WAY I want it associated w/BFing. And since baby's gag reflex is in perfect working condition, there is no way for me to give her anything orally except for feedings. I tried meds mixed w/cranberry juice put into her cheek via a little dropper... she just gives me a cute "hmmm... that's interesting" look as it runs out. So I may need to start subsituting one BF session daily with a bottle feed.

Before anyone starts freaking, I BF'd first LO until past 2 yrs old and I have no intention of stopping BFing for this babe... just have a medical need here and I'd rather get advice from moms who understand BFing and attachment parenting rather than the "others".

thanks! Carrie

We used a number of different bottles with DS. Started out with Medela, later switched to Dr. Browns, and now we're on Avent. Since this is for medicine, I would avoid the Dr Browns as they are harder to clean.

I can't really speak from any good experience on a formula. The only one we ever tried was Enfamil Lipil, and even when just supplementing with that, we had all kinda of GI distress. I might would see if I could get any donated milk on MilkShare. If that's not an option, perhaps an organic formula might be a little less shocking to the system.

WHo has the MRSA? Where? What are y'all talking?
