I don't remember them from my previous pregnancy. I think I'm having occasional BH contractions. Anyone else? (I'm at 24 weeks).

A lot of women don't have them in their first pregnancies

I am getting them now and I really dig that It reminds me what it's like and I feel warm and fuzzy

I've been having BH for a couple months now. But I'm having preterm contractions at this point. I'm 24 weeks today.

Oh my goodness yes. I've had them for months and lately they are getting STRONG! It's a bit strange because I felt them quite clearly with dd too, but they were completely painless with her. This time around I have to relax and focus on getting through them sometimes! It's not that they hurt exactly, but they do take my attention away from whatever I'm doing. Ah well, good practice, right?

kittycat9, I hope your contractions settle down!!

Astromom - I'm experiencing the same thing! I felt them very clearly with dd starting around 25 weeks. This time they started around 18 weeks (at least, when I could feel them) and they're getting quite strong. I've had one or two that took my breath away. Not painful, but strong. I think it is just that I'm able to feel them more, having given birth once. My mw was not concerned as long ast they are not frequent and consistent or painful.

I have been having them since 14 weeks! Crazy....
I actually dont want them at all, they scare me. I always wonder if this means the baby may come early. My 3rd ds was born at 36 weeks, I had tons of painless bh with him too. I didnt expect him to come early though, that was a shock.

I've been having BH for so long now that I don't remember when they started. :LOL

I just started drinking RRL tea about a week and a half ago and that has helped more than anything. They aren't nearly as painful and don't last as long now. I have also noticed that they are worse when I'm stressed, which helps DH to realize when he's aggravating me. I don't remember having any at all with DD, but that was 13 years ago, so who knows.

I think mine started at about 12 weeks this time. I had them for months last pregnancy, too.

I've been having them for some time now, too. My midwife said that we have them from the moment of implantation, but we just don't feel them for a while. I first started noticing them well before 20 weeks.

Me too. Started early on, not sure when. I don't get them that often, perhaps a couple per day-if that.

I've had loads and they started really early too. I'm taking them sometimes as a good sign that my uterus is remembering what this baby stuff is about, and other times they seem tied to not drinking enough or exerting myself too much.

Not sure if these are BH but....in the last 2 weeks i've been having sort of menstrual-like cramping, no clear start or finish. Sound like BH?

This makes sense because I thought I started feeling them around 10 weeks, but my uterus was too small to feel the tightening with my hand, YK? So I felt what seemed like a small contraction but I wasn't sure. Now I can tell for sure that they are contractions! And they are stronger this time around. I haven't been drinking enough RRL tea lately, so I'll have to keep that up. Increasing my water intake helps too.

EvolvingMama- sometimes I have some mild cramping with no explaination, but my contractions feel like a strong tightenings in my uterus, and I can feel the muscles getting harder in my abdomen. Not sure if what you are experiencing are contractions, but it definitely sounds like a possibility to me.

I've been having them since around week 10. When the kids get me upset I start contracting right away lol. If I have to pee I start or if I need to drink water.

1st pregnancy: didn't notice any Braxton Hicks contractions and wondered why every book I read mentioned them.

2nd pregnancy: had them for last couple months, especially during my walks

3rd (current) pregnancy: several times a day since about 12 weeks. Seems to be no rhyme or reason to when they occur.

During a BH, my belly gets hard, accompanied by a sensation I can't describe. Doesn't last long.

Jenny, reading & writing mama of dd(18), ds(6), and ds(3)

Ok. Now I know. Does anyone else find them utterly annoying?
