Anyone doing one? What are your plans for the placenta?

Not me. But I am planning on ingesting mine this time. I want to dry and encapsulate it, the midwives are trying to convince me to just eat it....

I really liked the idea of lotus birth. I really wanted to do it. But then I thought I might want to eat it. Okay, it does sound better to say ingest it. And then the more I thought about it, the dog and the cat would probably be licking the placenta the whole time. I could just see it. So lotus birth is kinda out with us. I would be really curious to know how pets have done around a baby who still had the placenta attached. I mean I know they wouldn't be with the baby alone, but still it worries me since people say it sometimes has a strong smell...
