I forgot about my fimjolk and let it go for 24-hours, the last 12 of which were in my very warm oven with 40 watt bulb.

It smells very yeasty--beer like--and does not taste necessarily like something I would eat whole heartedly.

Can I still reculture from this batch?

I'd go ahead and try and reculture it. It may have over-cultured but that doesn't necessarily mean the culture was damaged. You might not want to eat the batch you made this time though (I'd be even less inclined if it was made with pasteurized milk).

Thanks. I'll try again. So easy I forgot about it.
