I have some of it for iodine supplementation too but I'm yet to find a way to take it because it's awwwwfully fishy. I'm kind of averse to that fishy flavor..
I'm told you can sprinkle it on food along with salt but I've not been able to do it too much.
I also do not like the taste of the kelp powder, yuck. You can buy an encapsulator from moutain rose herbs and make your own kelp powder capsules with it
