I know this has probably been asked to death, but I'm not able to find it in a search.

What is the best deal for organic, unrefined coconut oil?
I'm coming to the bottom of my gallon of CO from Mountain Rose Herbs. I liked it fine, but as tight as money is, I need to make sure I'm getting a good deal.
Are there any coupon codes for any good place?

Thanks!

I get Nutiva (the big jar) from Amazon.com.

I think Mountain Rose Herbs might be your best bet price wise!

I'm guessing the 5-gallon bucket of CO from MRH is a better buy, if you can afford that much at once AND would use 5 gallons of CO in a sorta reasonable timeframe. It took me close to 2 years, but the quality was fine, it's fine to store at room temp at least that long.

It's $149 plus shipping which I think varies depending on where you are.

Yep! Based on my research, MRH is the best price.

If you want to buy it in smaller sizes, I think iHerb.com has the best price.

I get about 32 oz for $14 plus $4 shipping. The stuff is really good quality too. Oh, this is for the extra virgin kind too. Good enough to eat with a spoon. If you want just regular coconut oil it's only $4 something for 16 oz.

Depending where you live Nutiva has a deal right now from their site which might work out better. 1 gallon is 49.99 & free shipping on orders over $30. Might be cheaper depending on how far you are from MRH, with shipping. It is about a dollar cheaper for me.

I definitely think Nutiva is the way to go- seems to be cheapest regardless of where you look.

You can try amazon or vitamin shoppe.

Thanks, everyone! This is just the sort of information I was looking for!
I think I'll try the Nutiva this time. That is a great price! The shipping from MRH is almost $20 for me.

You may want to check Azure standard, depending on where you live. Their gallons of Nutiva extra virgin organic CO are about $47 compared to over $60 from amazon. If you are near a drop point, your order needs to be over $50 so you could add something small. It comes to $.367 an ounce.

But, it looks like mountain rose herbs is even less!

ETA: saw your comment about shipping...that is a lot!!

I buy 54 oz of Nutiva on www.vitacost.com for $21 plus shipping (which is $4.99 flat rate no matter how much you buy). Their prices for almost everything (fish oil, natural body products, etc) are cheaper than anywhere based on the hours of research that I have done! Great website.

I ordered my CO from Nutiva on Friday & it came on Monday! I have not broken the seal because I still have some left. But was shocked at how quickly it came!

$49.99 for 1 gallon with free shipping www.nutiva.com

Well shoot I ordered the gallon from MRH last week but it came to $50 with shipping. Next time I'm going to order the 54 oz from vitacost. We order most of our other stuff from there (dishwasher powder, lotion, cleaning stuff etc) so I'll just tack it on one of those orders and not pay anything extra for shipping!

Hmmm... Didn't see anything on Nutiva's site about free shipping. Maybe the promo is done now? or Maybe I just need to get to the checkout point for them to tell me? I always get my CO from MRH. But the shipping is expensive. And honestly, I am not impressed with the flavor. My friend gets this super expensive stuff that is just scrumptious... But it's just coconut oil. Why can't it all taste like that? Anyway, I'm totally open to trying something new. Vitacost looked good, but there are 128 ounces in a gallon(just looked it up*haha*)... So at $.39/oz a gallon there would be 49.99, and then the $4.99 shipping... But you can't really get a GALLON. I'm going around in circles there.

If you spend $30 you get free shipping on Nutiva's site. Just put it in your cart & the next screen will show free shipping see here

I got an email from Tropical Traditions that they're doing free ground shipping for online orders made today (March 1). They have non-cert org. expeller pressed for $38 for four quart jars, so I'm going to bite, if I get an OK from DH Wanted to let you all know. Anything else a really good deal from them?

blessed Catholic mommy to DD 10/07 and DS 2/09, little one due 8/12!
