I'm wanting to start a thread for us mamas who can't stomach liver and roe. Well I haven't tried roe(I know it's costly) yet but I hear it doesn't taste very good. I really want to build up my nutritional stores before TTC #2 and liver and roe is so amazing for that. I also want DD to eat both so I'm trying to find great recipes that can hide the taste for both of us! This recipes looks so good so as soon as I get my liver I'm going to try it.

Any others have some good recipes to hide the taste

That does sound good. I did bacon wrapped chicken liver the other day. No sauce or anything, just the bacon wrapped around the liver and a toothpick stuck through, then baked until the bacon was crispy. They were edible, but not terrific. I love bacon, but the liver was very noticeable. I'm also looking for ways to get more liver into at least me. It would be great if I could sneak it into the kids too, but unless you can make it look and taste like a chicken nugget or pizza, I think I may be SOL on that one.

Subbing because I need some good liver suggestions as well. Didn't know what Roe was so I looked it up in NT and the Roe Cakes sound really yummy actually.

I need someone to come and hide it from me in something! It's funny--I used to love to eat liver when I was a little girl . . . until I got older and found out what it was! I keep lamenting the fact that I don't think I could stand to prepare it myself.

Not that this is a great option, but I made a rice pasta bake this week with ground chicken and chicken livers. With enough red sauce and cheese it was actually yummy!
