I am sprouting buckwheat seeds right now to make Russian Kasha from the NT book. They began to sprout after only a day or so but in between rinses, it gets a little slimy. Is this normal? Or a sign that I did something wrong? Also, the sprouts are very short, how long do you typically let them grow?

Thanks!
