I just wanted to post about making my first fish stock :)
Fish stock was the one stock I was afraid to make because I feared the smell of the long cooking time.....I LOVE the smell of chicken stock cooking over 24 hours and waking up salivating for that hot mug first thing in the A.M. but beef bones are another story, I hate the smell, Lamb bones are good but Fish seemed potentially gross.
I have to say after making it it didn't smell nearly as bad as the beef bones do to me and the chowder I have made for breakfast out of the resulting stock is KILLER.
And all from some free trout bones!
