Hi All! So, I've read the GAPS book and I've looked on the net quite a bit, but I still can't figure out how many veggies (squash, onions, mostly) I should shoot for on the stage 1 intro diet. And honey as well. I'm doing it in the hopes of getting a handle on my IBS and also being able to eat eggs again, which I haven't been able to do in a few years.
I'm also a runner (15 or so miles a week) and I'm concerned about going too low carb for that reason as well. I am extremely active and have a lot going on and I really need to maintain that pace. I'm naturally fine on a lower carb, higher fat diet and eat paleo/WAPF style most of the time so I'm not nervous about going pretty low carb, but I think there's a threshold that I need to maintain.
Basically, how much is too much honey and veggies? I'd like to eat as close to the max as possible without compromising the diet. And also, sorry if this has in fact been dealt with in the book or somewhere obvious online. lol One of my symptoms is pretty chronic brain fog/lack of focus so sometimes I miss the obvious stuff. :)

As far as I know the quantities of veg are not limited. I don't know that quantities are really limited at all on anything. Well, you don't want to overdo honey and only introduce probiotic foods slowly.
I am also pretty active and have thyroid and adrenal issues so I am not doing a complete intro- I am doing the intro with bananas and dates on the first day then add in more fruits as the days go on. I had debated just doing the full gaps from the beginning.
