I wait half the day for my OB's office to call me back to ask a simple question about supplementing iron in pregnancy. I am 17 weeks and getting 8-10 hrs sleep at night and wake up feeling absolutely exhausted and completely impervious to coffee to wake me up. I have a lot of food aversions but have a bottle of dessicated liver pills from Radiant Life. I was going to ask the OB how much iron is too much in pregnancy. OB nurse is like 'oh, why? are your iron levels low? just go to walmart an pick up a bottle of iron and take one of those a day. i dont know what a good dose would be.' WHAT?! Go ask the DOCTOR?

So anyway, the bottle of liver pills say 6 pils a day is 1 dose? That seems like a lot. I am wondering if that is also recommended in pregnancy.

Any insight appreciated.

It looks like your post might have been missed, so I'm bumping it up for attention. :bump: Anyone have similar experiences to share? OP, have you gotten more information from your doctor about your current iron levels and what might help?
