I had already made pate (local, grass fed beef) and so I put a big dollop in a pot and added my homemade bone broth made from bones of a deer my neighbor shot and processed himself.
I simmered that until the pate completely assimilated and then added organic carrot coins (peel on) and lentils and poured in more broth so everything was totally covered.
Last step was organic kale, just allowed to wilt before serving.
Neither of my little sweeties even suspected, they wolfed it down like they hadn't eaten in weeks. I feel like I deserve an award or something! Haha
LOL definitely! I'll have to test that one out. I just tried cooking liver last week for the first time. I found a recipe for ragu bolognese and made it. It's basically a spaghetti sauce type thing over noodles but it has ground beef, ground pork, diced ham and liver in it. The liver is so well hide with all the other ingredients and meats that no one knew! My kids ate it up, even my picky picky son! They absolutely loved it so I know just how you feel about that "where's my award?"
