So I bought some kefir at the store...strawberry flavored. It tastes kind of like drinkable yogurt that has soured a little...kind of a little "bubbly" you know?

It doesn't taste horrid or anything, I'm just trying to figure out if this is what it's supposed to taste like or if maybe I got a batch that went sour.

TIA

A friend of mine describes it as slightly alcoholic yogurt mixed with 7-up. Describes it perfectly

It does taste a little alcholic. I read an article about keffir today and it said that that is how is is supose to taste. I have found that I like the unorganic kind vs. organic kind.

Tastes like plain yogurt spiked with seltzer. Unless it's brewed covered with a cloth instead of a tight lid, in which case the carbonation escapes and it tastes like a slightly yeasty plain yogurt. This is the homemade stuff, mind: the stuff you bought has fruit, sweetener, maybe other flavorings blended into it.
