How do I store my water kefir grains long-term? I'd prefer not to freeze or dehydrate them (don't know if you can do that like you do will milk kefir grains). Can I just store them in a jar of sugar water in the fridge and change the water every so often?

Yes, just store them in the fridge in sugar water. I would change it every week or so (and use the water for a drink), but if you let it go longer, it would probably be fine.
