I am also NT lite.
I've been incorporating bits of NT here and there since 2001, but haven't used it as much the past year, though I am currently into brewing kombucha and kefir.
I'm Leah, almost 35 years old (in three days!), married 10 years to my dh who is 45. We've got a 5 1/2 yo ds and a 2 yo dd. DH loves the SAD, so I am very slowly moving him away from that, starting with kombucha, which my whole family loves!
I'm unsure about how wholeheartedly to jump into NT right now, b/c I know we all have yeast overgrowth and need to address healing our guts, though the SCD diet seems overwhelming, so I am hoping that if I just go fully NT and eliminate sugar we can overcome the beasties.

Hi, I'm Tara, 32 and, as seems rather endemic here, NT-lite I try to be better, really I do. Actually, but for a few too many indulgences, I eat fairly well NT. Lots of fermented dairy, pastured meat, soaked beans and nuts. Some fermented veggies, trying to up my intake of that. I haven't been quite as good about soaking grains, but I'm getting better. I am really chagrined to admit, though, that I have not been able to get my daughters to follow my dietary lead. Alas, between my own sweet tooth and their daddy's utterly crappy diet, they know all too well what they *want*, and how that relates to what I try to feed them... On average, they eat a really good diet - lots of high quality meats, vegetables, yogurt. But, they won't touch fermented foods, they don't care for raw, or even pasteurized, plain yogurt, they want it flavored (and adding preserves doesn't cut it...) So, it's a struggle. But, we've been slowly improving.
