What are the different nutrients values or are all three pretty much the same. And kombucha and water kefir sound very similar. Do they all have different benefits for different bacterias or yeasts (good guys). I have overgrowth candida, would all three be beneficial. What makes each one different from each other other than the obvious (water, milk).

Thank you soooo much that helped alot and didn't know kombucha was that good and I assume that milk and water kefir are pretty much the same minus the lacto, it was just a little hard to understand that part. I tried doing a search but too much info to read. If it was in the "Healing the gut cheat sheet" thread (if it isn't in that thread if should be add) that I posted for someone else then I think I am going to have to add kombucha to my list.

When you make kombucha do you have to use black/green tea to get the benefits metioned in the thread you posted above by xenabyte.

I believe you are supposed to use green or black tea because the kombucha brews the best and most uniformly with those, and if you use something else there's the potential to screw up your SCOBY. I don't know how it affects the effects of the kombucha if you use other types of tea

I'll PM JaneS and ask if she wants to add that link to the HTG cheat sheet.
