O.K. all you water kefir experts.... (please help !)
After the first and second day, the kefir was still sweet and not at all tangy or fizzy like kefir normally is. So I let it brew about 4-5 days, and now it's still a bit sweet but also sour tasting instead of tangy or fizzy.
I had the same experience and just got rid of mine. I left my soda out for a week with no change near the woodstove. Then I tried putting them in more sugar ect.....I figured it was not worth all the stress for $5 to get some more shipped to try again
This time I am going to get sucanat and keep brewing (without storing them) because I think I will have better success and I desperately need probiotics!
