Thanks for the reminder, I ran out, and need a little energy in the afternoon now! I'll pick some more up today.

Ditto this. I found some local (CT) bee pollen in the fridge section of whole foods. It is a bunch of small pellets. Is this what I want, and how much should I take? There is no dosing info on the bottle.

Congrats to all the newly pregnant mamas! I had a hard time eating as much as WAPF recommends, and I still gained a ton of weight. And I couldn't tolerate liver, just the thought of it made me gag. But the weight is coming off now, too fast...

So, I need some postpartum advice. I am getting a bit run down. Teddy is 9 weeks old and roly poly fat and happy. But I am feeling a bit depleted. I have started taking a prenatal again, and I am hoping that will help. But, my skin is dry and my nails are thin, so something is clearly missing. Does anyone have any ideas what the deficiency might be?

Dry skin and nails point to a fat deficiency. Can you introduce more fat into your diet? More protein?

Food is starting ot seriously gross me out. I'm back into my old ways of living on fruit. Not exactly balanced...

bee pollen tasted terrible to me during pregnancy. WAYYYYY to sweet. Then, after it got better, but I endured for babies sake

Then we got a new kind from Azure recently and it is sickeningly sweet and I am not pregnant!lol

I went through a period like that at about that time, too. I stopped taking it altogether for a few weeks and then started again, and was fine after that. I eat canned wild caught Alaskan salmon once a week or so and also good quality eggs, which I think helps bridge the gap a little with the EFAs. Also flax meal and flax oil added to things, which I know isn't as good a source, but it's something.

I haven't done prenatal vitamins this time around, but when I was pregnant with dd I just couldn't get those suckers down to save my life. I took a children's chewable vitamin, I think I took two per day, just to make sure I had something (which I needed at the time; I feel like my nutrition is so much better now that I'm not worried about it).

I've been having this problem myself, so I switched to capsules. The oil in the capsules is slightly-lemon flavored, so I've been having fewer "fishy burps" too.

In the past, I've also tossed my CLO (along with my bee pollen and sometimes some CO) into a smoothie.

Congratulations, Amanda! When are you due, if you don't mind me asking? Sounds like we might be due right around the same time--I'm due the first of Dec. I go tomorrow to listen for the heartbeat, so hopefully it'll be there.

I'm only pushing ten weeks. We have the heart beat appointment after Memorial Day. I've actually felt fluttering which seems really crazy. I figure I have a baby or a bird.

Maybe you're having twins! I figure I might feel something in a week or two (12.5+ weeks) since I felt movement around 14.5 weeks with DD, but we'll see.

LOL Serena. I have felt some strange things, but some definite "fluttering." I felt nothing with the first until I was 20+ weeks but my uterus was tilted. Unless I am totally imagining things, my guess is that the last pregnancy moved my uterus forward for good. My mom said she felt movement this early but I know it sounds nutty.
