Has anyone ever had curdled kefir?

I strained my kefir, but I left it on the counter and within 6 hours, the whey was on top (it is usually on the bottom) and the kefir underneath looks curdled...

Does anyone have any idea why this would happen?

Can I use it to bake with, or should I throw away?
