ok, it's not healthy eating....but candymaking is something i have long wanted to try.  i thought i would experiment for some upcoming celebrations.

any idea of a book or website that would start me off?

i would love candied flowers for on cakes, fruit-based sweets, dark chocolate etc.

I do a little candy-making. Most non-vegan recipes are pretty easy to adapt - the only specifically vegan one I use is the one I use for caramel. I haven't done candied flowers since going vegan, though.

Nut butter cups are super easy - just mix powdered sugar into your nut butter until it is the consistency of playdoh. Pour melted chocolate into candy cups, drop a little chunk of the sweetened nut butter in and cover it with melted chocolate.

Here's a website I like, she has some good recipes in her valentines and easter sections: http://veryveganholiday.wordpress.com/
