I'm ordering a dehydrator and wondering if I need the teflon sheets. I'm concerned about teflon and wondering if I can use unbleached parchment paper in place of it. I do plan to dehydrate flax crackers and maybe fruit leathers.

have you ever used a commercial dehydrator before? i want to love them but they make my food taste like plastic. : also screw the teflon! you'll just get sick from it anyways. don't use parchment either it will blow away! if you want to make leather there should be a little plastic tray anything else just toss it on there. I personally like the oven in the winter or the "sunny box" in the summer. my sunny box is where i start plants and if you line it with foil you could just about cook in it. so it dries beans and such nicely! hope that helped!

I'm crunchy... Like a Dorito.
