Most of hte research I have read suggests (or outright states!) that graying is directly correlated to insufficient hydrochloric acid. There are many people who have reversed graying on a raw diet, but what it amounts to is increasing HCL levels which you *can* do independently of diet through supplementation.
An easy way to test is to drink about 6 ounces of beet juice on an empty stomach. If your urine turns pink it means you have insufficient hydrochloric acid. Supplement and once you get it back to normal in theory you'll get your color back.
Ann Wigmore in her 70's was totally gray. She reversed it through diet alone and submitted to several lab tests to prove she hadn't colored it. It went back to jet black. HTH!
