Help! I always seems to mess up when making hummus. Seriously, easiest thing to make and I am bad at it! This time I added too much water and it is way too runny to be appetizing. Can I do something to make it thicker? I don't have any extra chickpeas on hand...

Throw in a small amount of almond meal (or almond slivers, or cashew pieces) and/or a Tbsp or so of either cornstarch or arrowroot. Whizz it until smooth. Hope you can save it!

This is a late reply, but toasted sesame seeds are a wonderful addition to hummus and will definitely thicken it!
