Can you get the Active Live Cultures found in yogurt in plant-based foods? Might some kind of yeast have those?

Just wondering.

Not necessarily exactly the same ones, because some cultures grow best on certain mediums (ie certain foods), but yes. You can buy probiotic capsules, you can make your own non-dairy yogurt (or buy it), and you can make or buy naturally fermented foods like real pickles and sauerkraut (Bubbies sells some in the refrigerated section of the HFS).

I don't know about that tea. It seems like there isn't a whole lot of research out there about it. But I will definitely buy or make some non-dairy yogurt. That hadn't even crossed my mind.

Thanks!
