My husband and I are expecting our baby girl in early December. We currently have a king sized inner-spring bed, which has been quite comfortable, but within the past year has started to creak. Every move we make (rolling over, sitting on the edge, etc) makes the mattress creak, & it's driving me nuts. Plus, I have been researching about the chemicals in regular mattresses, and I don't want my baby to breathe all that junk in (let alone my husband and me). And all this has been making me look into getting a natural mattress with latex or something equivalent. I've been searching high and low, and we don't have a huge budget (actually, it's not in the budget right now, we'd have to save for it). But I have found two that look fairly affordable (or more affordable than most I've come across) with good warranties. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with either of these mattresses:

Simmons - The Haven

or

Simmons - Belmore Forest Plush Firm

Also, the Haven says it has a soy-based foam as the core. Anyone have any idea about how good that is compared to just latex in the core?

Thanks for your input. : )
