My ds2 is 10 months old and we have been bed-sharing since birth. He nurses frequently during the night, which I don't mind but I can't get him to sleep longer than an hour without me.

He goes to bed around 9/9:30 and from then will wake every hour consistently until I go to bed, after that he will nurse every 2/3 hrs in the night. When he wakes I usually go up and nurse him back to sleep which usually takes around 15mins or sometimes I just bring him downstairs and he sleeps in my arms.

I would like any tips to help him sleep a bit longer, I just feel like I'm getting no break or time for me and dh. Even if he slept for 2/3 hrs that would be great. I have the room dark and quiet and I have tried swaddling him, extra layers and no blanket and a chamomile bath before bed and nothing has made a difference. He also only takes one nap for 1hr in the day.

Thanks

Me and the boys; Dh, ds1 10/05 and ds2 03/09
