We need a crib mattress for our side carred crib. Has anyone used this one? It seems to be a good choice between a $50 plastic mattress and a $400 wool one. I cannot find any reviews or info.

Anyone?

Bloom Alma Crib Organic CoCo Mat Mattress

Thanks!
Jenne

Ooh that sounds promising, I can't wait to hear more about it. I'm also really wanting an organic crib mattress but having issues with cost.

I found a review that says it is awesome
http://www.babyearth.com/bloom-alma-...-mattress.html

I also found this site that gives some information on it, but not a user review
http://answers.giggle.com/answers/68.../questions.htm

The dimensions of it seem different than a standard crib though. I'm not sure what you are putting it in but it looks like it is made for something specific. I'd make sure it fits how you want.

also to add, if you sign of up for amazon mom, this mattress is eligible for prime delivery... you'll get free two day shipping. www.amazon.com/mom

The Alma crib is a porta-crib so its not the same size as a regular crib. Look into Naturepedic.

Oh, so that's why it's so "cheap". Well, that stinks. The Naturepedics are so expensive. And long story, but we need 2 mattresses, so those are out.

The latex mattress at sleepez.com is a normal crib size and only 200 dollars. the code CRIBS will get you free shipping as well. I just bought it and we love it. As far as I can gather, it is so cheap because they are factory direct. It is 100% natural latex though (they specify blend on other products) with organic cotton and eco wool.
